All SETU staff members can access Moodle as long as they have an SETU username and password.
Only students who are registered in the student registration system for that specific course module can access your module content in Moodle.
In general, you do not need any special software to access Moodle. You will need internet access to use Moodle. The Firefox, IE10 and Google Chrome browsers tend to work best with Moodle.
If you have editing access to a module in Moodle you can enrol a colleague as a non-editing or editing lecturer so that they can view the content that you have put in place or edit that content.
It is possible to release the module notes relevant to each section in your module. As a lecturer you will have the designer rights for that particular module so you will have the authority to hide materials and reveal them as you choose.
Lecturers can import resources between the modules they are assigned to within Moodle. For example, if you are reusing case studies for a new academic year, these can be copied from a previous year’s module into the current one. It is important to note that to import between modules, you must be assigned as an editing lecturer on both modules.
Initially, you will be automatically assigned to the modules in Moodle that you are timetabled on one week prior to the start of each semester.
It is often useful to provide a link to an external website for students. It may be a link to an interesting article, a potential employer’s website, a video, a blog from an industry expert, etc. Here’s how to add a link (or URL) to a web resource:
Students will not be able to see the resources that you may have hidden in your module area. You can view your module as a student will see it by following these quick steps.
