Moodle Groups

Moodle Groups are useful when you are sharing a module with a colleague and you only want your student group to view your content. In this case, you could place a restriction on some of the module sections. If you want different student groups to take activities at different times or dates, you can use Moodle Groups and restrict access to your Moodle Quiz or Assignment etc..

The Quiz activity module allows the lecturer to design and build quizzes consisting of a number of Question types, including multiple choice, true-false, short answer and drag and drop images and Essay. These questions are stored in the Question bank and can be re-used in different quizzes in your module.

Turnitin Assignment Types

Turnitin is a third party assignment type that we have in use in our instance of Moodle. Turnitin will accept text-based submissions in most common formats, such as Word or PDF, and provides the student with a similarity report by comparing submitted student files with an extensive range of public web, subscription-based sources and past student work.

Moodle Enrolments

All SETU staff and registered students can access Moodle.  Both full time and part-time students can access Moodle provided that they are fully registered.
