Participants in forums can easily insert links to websites, youtube and other web based resources within their forum posting.  Follow these steps to insert a link to a website in a forum posting:

Highlight the text that you want to link to:

1. First, you must be logged into Moodle and in the relevant module and forum area.  Highlight the text that you want to link to a website and click on the 'chain' icon in the toolbar as shown below:

Enter the URL:

2. Enter the URL of website that you want to link to in the box provided and click on 'Insert':
