Introduction

Moodle has two different assignment types: the Turnitin Type and the standard Moodle assignment. Each offers different styles of assessment for the students. It will depend on the type of assessment and the requirements for the students as regards which assignment type the Lecturer should use.

Creating Assignments

If you need to create a Turnitin Assignment, please take a look at the steps in this post, which describes how Turnitin works and why you might choose to use it. If you want to create a standard Moodle assignment, please take a look at these steps which describes how you can add or edit a Moodle Assignment activity.

Download Student Submissions

When the student has submitted their assignment to either the Turnitin or the standard Moodle assignment activity on your module, you can then download the student submission in bulk or individually.
