One or more students told me that he/she couldn’t access my course. What do I do?

If one or more of your students have told you that they cannot access your course, there could be a number of reasons for this.  Firstly, the student may not be fully registered in WIT. If this is the case, they will not be able to log into Moodle.  Please advise them to contact the Registry office to complete the registration process.

Lecturers can grant access to their module to colleagues or additional students. However, your colleague or student must be able to log into Moodle (i.e. must be registered student or WIT staff member) before they can be granted access to your module. Here's how you can achieve this.

Click on the Participants option in the left hand menu of your module

Search for the student

In the next screen click on the Enrol Users button.

In the following pop-up screen ensure that the Assign Roles option is set to Student 2018-19. Type the student number or username in the Select users field. Once the student you have searched for appears click on their name.

Confirmation

You can confirm that the student has been added to the module by observing the list of enrolled users. The newly enrolled student should appear in the list.
