You can copy / import a reading list from one module to another across academic years quite easily in Moodle. Please follow these quick steps:

Create a reading list in your new module

With editing turned on click on Add an activity in the chosen section of your module and select the Reading List option. In the screen that follows you can write a note to your students if required. Once complete click on Save and return to module.

Open the new reading list

Double click on the new Reading List to open it.

On the page that follows click on the Change option to view the reading list editing options

Select the reading list you wish to copy

In the next screen you will be asked to log into your Reading List account using your WIT staff username and password. Once logged in you should click on the module that you wish to copy from. The reading list for this module will then appear as shown below:

Tick the select all check box at the top right hand corner of this list and then click on the copy icon at the bottom of the list to copy all reading materials on this list.

Select the module that you wish to copy to

In the pop up window that follows select the module from the Copy to drop down list as seen below:

This will complete the copying process. When you return to your new reading list in your new module and open it you will see the copied reading list is available to all of your students on this module.
